POLYURETHANE BULK CHEMICAL STORAGE SYSTEM UPGRADED:

Greenacres-Vandokem consortium recently completed and successfully handed over an upgrade and expansion to the PU Chemical Bulk Storage system for a client in KZN province South Africa. Upgrades included an expansion of the storage capacity including civil design, upgrading of the thermal conditioning systems and instrumentation upgrades enabling chemical supplies from different suppliers or batches to be separately stored, temperatrue controlled and supplied to the offtake points in the plant.

The upgrade also included a complete replacement of the electrical/electronic control system to latest standard and norms available as the original Siemens equipment had reached end of life and were no longer supported by the OEM component manufacturer.
